Please read these terms carefully before booking a treatment with Brows by Abbie. They set out what to expect from your appointment and what I ask of you in return, so we're both clear before we begin.

All semi-permanent makeup treatments are available to clients aged 18 and over. Proof of age may be requested. Every new client is required to attend, or take part in, a consultation before their first treatment, where I'll talk through your desired shape, colour and finish, review your skin and medical history, and make sure the treatment is right for you.
Consultations and treatments are carried out by appointment only at my private studio in Burton Joyce, Nottingham. I reserve the right to decline a treatment, at any stage, if I believe it isn't in your best interest to proceed.
You must let me know about any medical conditions, allergies, medications, skin conditions, or previous cosmetic tattooing before your appointment. Certain conditions mean a treatment can't safely go ahead, including (but not limited to): pregnancy or breastfeeding, uncontrolled diabetes, keloid scarring, active skin infections or irritation in the treatment area, use of blood-thinning medication, isotretinoin (Accutane) use within the last six to twelve months, and certain autoimmune conditions. If you're unsure whether a condition affects your eligibility, please ask before booking.
A patch test is required at least 48 hours before any first-time pigment treatment, in line with standard UK permanent makeup practice, to check for any allergic reaction to the products used. Treatment will not go ahead without a clear patch test result. Providing false or incomplete information about your health may mean I'm unable to treat you, and I can't be held responsible for any reaction that results from information withheld at consultation.
A booking is confirmed once a deposit or payment has been made through the online booking system. Deposits go towards the cost of your treatment and are non-refundable if you cancel or fail to attend with less than 48 hours' notice, as this time is reserved exclusively for you.
Please arrive with clean, makeup-free brows and lashes so the treatment area can be properly prepped. I ask that you come alone or without young children where possible, as the studio space and treatment length are best suited to one client at a time.
All tools and needles used are single-use and disposed of safely after every appointment, and the studio follows standard hygiene and infection-control practices for cosmetic tattooing.
Semi-permanent makeup is a skin treatment, and results vary from person to person depending on skin type, lifestyle, aftercare and how your body responds to pigment. Brows will appear darker and more defined immediately after treatment, lighten considerably during healing, and reach their true, settled colour after around four weeks — this is completely normal.
A follow-up top-up appointment is included in the price of most initial treatments and should be booked within the recommended window, usually four to eight weeks after your first session, to perfect colour and shape. I can't guarantee an exact shade or shape match to a reference photo, as results depend on your individual skin.
Full aftercare instructions are provided after every treatment, verbally and in writing, and must be followed closely to protect your results and reduce the risk of infection or pigment loss. I can't be held responsible for poor healing, faded results, or complications that arise from aftercare advice not being followed.
With your permission, before and after photographs of your treatment may be used on the Brows by Abbie website, Instagram or Facebook page for marketing purposes. You're always asked for consent at the time, and you're free to decline without affecting your treatment in any way. You can also ask for a photo to be removed from social media or the website at any time by getting in touch.
I hold full public liability and treatment insurance, and the studio operates under the relevant local authority licensing for skin piercing and cosmetic tattooing. If you're ever unhappy with a treatment, please contact me directly within 14 days so I can look into it and put things right wherever possible.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under UK law. Beyond that, my liability is limited to the value of the treatment booked.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
